artist statement
My work reflects the overlooked minutiae of my urban surroundings, echoing the background noise of society and representing the mundane in alternative ways.
I’m keen to highlight both man and nature’s degrading influence on the environment and am especially aware of my own impact on the world, consequently my work solely comprises the use of previously amassed materials and found or recycled objects.
Initially trained in printed textile design, fabric and thread continue to constitute the core of my practice.
