What a year it’s been.Last November, 21 of us came together at Newlyn School of Art @newlynartschool for the start of the Professional Landscape Programme 2024. Painters, printmakers, and textile artists from across the UK, all practicing artists eager to push our work further and explore what’s possible within a professional art practice.
Over the year, under the guidance of Anita Reynolds, Jesse Leroy Smith and Anthony Garratt, lectures, group crits, one-to-one tutorials, and deep discussions have given us new confidence, insight, and direction for our careers. We wrapped up the programme with our group exhibition Sentinel at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, which welcomed many visitors, collectors, and curators, and saw several works find new homes.
Lasting friendships have been formed, and as a collective, and individuals, we’re excited to see what comes next. Watch this space…
