sentinel artists

This September, sėntinėl brings together 21 artists for the collective’s inaugural exhibition at the prestigious Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens.

diversity

Working across painting, printmaking, installation, textiles, video and 3D work, the artists represent the breadth of contemporary landscape practice today. Each brings a deep connection to the land and a shared passion for observing and responding to the world around us.

connection

Like sentinels, we stand in quiet reflection and active engagement with the landscape – witnessing its history, recording its shifting forms, and responding to urgent environmental concerns such as rising sea levels, drought, pollution, and the ongoing impact of human activity.

dialogue

As a collective, our aim is both to celebrate and to protect: to create works that honour the enduring spirit of place, while prompting dialogue and awareness of the challenges facing our environment.

exhibition

The exhibition opens with a Private View on Friday 26 September from 5–9pm (all welcome), followed by public opening on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September, 10am–4pm.
